I think that our final performance in front of the audience was quite amazing and some people found that it was wonderful. However it was not perfect because there were some people who still were laughing during the play but it was not their fault. Even though it was hard for all of us to get into it and not to act like the actual characters in the scripts, but some kind transform into them and imagine the environment around us, we tried to produce the best piece of drama work ever.
Making the scripts “international” was not that hard to do. The fact that it was out of time and in the middle of nowhere was a good idea to use. Also the terms that we have been using at the beginning and the ending of the performance and different facts and laws of the children’s policy were educational and made the performance even more international.
Sound scapes helped us a lot and also the fact that the audience liked it and did not laugh at us pleased me. The problem is that there were some of the sound scape(s) that were pretty disturbing and funny (especially the barking dog) at some point…
Another thing that I liked about it was the group work. While we were writing the scripts we did not use the given time proficiently at all. Basically we finished producing them on the day they were due (there were many mistakes in them which made the dialogues sound stupid [they just did not make any sense]). By fixing them we achieved what we set out to do. But unfortunately we did not use them at all. The whole performance was completely improvised but the good thing is that we did not do any mistakes and made no long pauses at all. I would also like to take into account that while we were rehearsing 3-4 lessons before the final performance, we did not have anything at all. + We did not come after school to rehearse it (I am not sure about the other groups).
I think that everyone’s (including audience’s) facial expressions created tension and it made everyone (including the actors) feel sympathy for the poor, lonely children who are currently living on the streets.
Another thing that made this performance amazing was the previous lessons and different stuff that we worked on. The one that I find most useful one is the monologue because it was the one which taught us to feel free and calm in front of the audience and get into the performance. I also think that the Shelby’s and Margalit’s group found it very useful because most of their part of the performance consisted out of monologue which changed every time Shelby performed it. I think that she improvised it over and over again during the rehearsals and the final performance.
In addition I would like to thank Ms. Tickle for keeping us together, helping us, giving us useful ideas and having fun with us in drama class during this term. Unfortunately this is going to be my last drama course but there is a little chance that I am going to switch to the drama class next year because the Drama class is my second “Arts class” choice.

Evaluation
I think that the final drama’s performance went really well. It was much better than it was few days before our final performance. During our rehearsal lessons most of us were just walking around the classroom or just laughing. But finally it turned out as a very good piece of drama. I was kind of surprised that everybody acted really seriously and nobody laughed. Our audience seemed to be really interested in what we were doing. Our audience seemed to get the message that we were trying to sent to them. I think that our play was international and easy translatable to other countries. I think that the beginning and the end of our play helped to capture audience’s attention. The sound scapes worked really well too. I was really realistic.
I was a bit worried about my groups (the disabled child) performance, because we had some problems with finishing our script. It turned out that our script was too long. We had to cut out the ending of where the babysitter escapes with the disabled child and then leaves her on the street. We just made it shorter and simpler. But I think that we did fine on our final play.
I think that maybe we should use costumes next time. They would make our play more realistic and define character’s personality better. But it was good without the too.
I really enjoyed drama this year. Everybody can express their selves during drama’s lessons. Everybody have the right to express their opinion. Drama makes all people work together to create something amazing. That’s what we’ve done. Those 20 minutes of our performance was something magnificent, something that I enjoyed a lot.
