Blue Eyed Blonde's posts

First blog
Today, all of us went into the Stundent Research Area and looked up about
global warming, women's rights, rascism, war, child labour, rape and about
poverty. Mrs. Tickle assigned many people to look up one thing at a time so
we would understand. Overall, i thought this was very useful and
interesting.

Second blog post by B.E.B.

Today, we separated into two different groups and made sculptures (basically
into freeze frames) of abuse. When we were done, the other group had to come
around and look at what we had come up with and we had to do the same with
theirs. Then later we had to make up a performance on child labour and what
happens. Also that week on Wednesday, i was sick but i was told that my
group was perfecting on our performance to make it better than what it was.

Third Blog
This lesson Mrs. Tickle showed us another technique of acting and that is
called a monologue. A monologue is basically a one person thing. We have to
talk about the topic we were given. It had to approximately be three minutes
long. I thought everyone did quite well, actually. A lesson after this one,
she gave us an assignment. It was to complete an reflection and evaluation
of our monologues. We had to write what we would would change if we were to
do it again, write our feelings and also how we prepared ourselves for this.

The Homework for February 9th
I think that monologues might seem useful because they express how one
person is feeling about a certain thing. It makes it much clearer for the
audience to understand so they are not confused about anything inparticular.
My monologue was about how this girls father went into war and died and her
mother left both of them before he went to war. So she is suffering out in
the streets and she hates it.

Fourth Blog
These two lessons we were talking about plays that we will be scripting and
acting out. The whole class wanted to get into two groups and decide on what
we all wanted to do. So in the end, we decided to do one about date rape and
one about parents forcing children to marry at an early age. This issue
doesn't happen in many places but it still happens. I think this should stop
now.
