During class we did an exercise which was based on making a setting seem more interesting. To participate in this exercise every member of the class had to choose a sound they would have to choose a sound which suits the setting they are in. Our first setting chosen was the Wild West and the sounds made the setting seem cheesy but really well organized. I personally think that if this exercise is improvised it sounds better than when it is actually practiced.
Our second goal was to create a town full of noise. We had to choose 2 noises. One made by our monologue character and one made by the setting in this case the town and it people. This exercise worked well and it really made our little town seem like a big city.
