Comment on our use of soundscapes last lesson. In what ways did they create effective drama? Is it possible to have drama without a 'story' and without dialogue?

doing the sound scape was really interesting... i liked doing it alotand i think that we should do some soundscaping in our play because of its unique way of presenting ideas. its really efective for setting a mode and feel to the play, it sets the atmosphere and is a good way to show what it is like in a sertain 'area'.
The soundscapes created an effective drama because it made us picture the landscape in our heads. this was effective drama because it made us see what we wanted to describe. therefore if we were doing it with an audience then they could get the picture we were trying to make, maybe easier then if we acted it. It is possible to have drama without a story or diologe. this is what we did. instead of telling a story we descirbed a place. and we didnt use dialogue we used sounds of the place. i like this different type of drama that we tried.
I like that we are experimenting with different types of drama. Soundscaped makes drama more effective. Audience can feel what we want to describe. Audience can imagine what we want them to. This way of drama needs more practice. Soundscapes make everything more realistic. It was hard to create story with out dialogue and story. Different people can understand this story very differently. They can create different pictures of the story in their minds. Anyway hearing soundscapes makes really big effect. I think that it is possible to have drama with out dialogeue and story But then people should be really good at using soundscapes.
I think this was a very effective way of representing drama and the street children's lives. The reason it was effective was because the sounds when added together made us picture the street on where it is set. This made it very realistic and very powerful. The drama was left up to us to imagine. Imagination is a very powerful piece of visual aid that is unusual to use in a drama piece. I think that incorporating this would be a great step in the play and also a sign of originality.
I think that the soundscape helped us understand a lot aboout what would be happening in our scenes because we not only got our own perspectives, but also we got other peoples ideas. This helped us to open our mind a lot more about the atmosphere on the streets. I think that soundscapes are an effective way to create drama because it creates an environment that helps us to understand the places our street children are from. It is possible to have drama without a story and dialogue. These soundscapes allowed us to imagine we were someone else in a different place. From there we could think of own stories and lives.
The soundscapes actually help you to understand what the environment is without even seeing it... Also it is easier to get into the character while you are imagining that you are at the kind of environment that you should be in. And the soundscapes actually help you a lot in doing that. The soundscapes create the tension which will make the audience get even more excited... I think that it is possible to have drama without the dialogue, but it won't be interesting. However some great monologues can make the drama look and sound good...
